Gender Bender
I thought this was pretty interesting:
In the photo, "Illusion of Sex," two faces are perceived as male and female. However, both faces are actually versions of the same androgynous face. One face was created by increasing the contrast of the androgynous face, while the other face was created by decreasing the contrast. The face with more contrast is perceived as female, while the face with less contrast is perceived as male. This demonstrates that contrast is an important cue for perceiving the sex of a face, with greater contrast appearing feminine, and lesser contrast appearing masculine. meatpaper
MEATPAPER:"Meatpaper is a print magazine of art and ideas about meat. We like metaphors more than marinating tips. We are your journal of meat culture."
Meatpaper is an absurdly odd and fantastically illustrated publication about MEAT. I always find it slid somewhere in between the Art and Design magazines and am lured in by the beautiful covers, then repulsed when I open the pages to find pictures of raw meat and animals, sliced open, then I'm drawn back in by more wonderful images.
more images from this issue to follow. I hope.

Last night I watched the movie Rocket Science. It was great. So I thought I'd post the trailers of movies with "rocket" in the title:
