$ MoneyBags $
MoneyBags is a current project coming from Stan Chisholm (of 18andCounting) and Lisa See Kim. Here is a re-post explaining the project.
(original text found at theMoneyBags facebook group and the MoneyBags Blog)
(original text found at theMoneyBags facebook group and the MoneyBags Blog)
MoneyBags takes a shot at re-evaluating wealth, worth and currency. It attempts to create unexpected reencounters with a familiar image/icon that has been popularly relegated to the realm of cartoons, illustrations, and the surreal. Ideas of ownership, abandonment, economy, luxury, generosity, legality, the ridiculous and any other matters of mind are also sprinkled into the project.
Originally, each bag was constructed, printed and stuffed with dollar bill sized prints of Stan Chisholm's (aka 18andCounting) poetic "One-Liner" phrases covering a gamut of topics about life, the abstract, and the humorous. The bags would then be left behind in unsanctioned public spaces, free for the taking or what have you.
(MoneyBags, Shibuya, Tokyo,)
Now headed by the duo of Chisholm and Lisa See Kim, MoneyBags is taking on an all-inclusive stance for anyone to participate in. A project by the public, for the public. Those who choose to take part are asked to construct their own MoneyBags, stuff them with any messages, items or creations of "value" then add them to Chisholm's & Kim's MoneyBags hoard to be distributed by the stack along with other bags. The donation of supplies, "valuables", empty self-made MoneyBags, and project space is also graciously encouraged.
The first MassiveMoneyBagsDrop will take place in October for the Art On Track show where we will fill a CTA train car! Aided by the Hyde Park Art Center, Chisholm and Kim will facilitate MoneyBags creation programs filled with screen printing, bag construction and the creation of "valuables." These will be hosted by HPAC throughout August and September 2009. Also be on the look out for other impromptu side projects and events.
This is an ongoing infinite project. You're help can never be too early, too late, too little, too big, too anything...
For project donations or info please contact Stan@18andCounting.com or LisaSeeKim@gmail.com

Movie List
Remember when I had a fit and cancelled all my bank accounts, then as a result I had to cancel all accounts that were paid via those accounts... like my netflix? Yeah, I'm regretting that now. After visiting my local video store and realizing they have none of the movies I wanted (and its not blockbuster, this place is supposed to have the weird ones)
So now I'm making a list of the movies I want to see. not sure why, or what purpose it will serve, but here it is.
(followed by a list of movies I have seen that I recommend you see)
MOVIES TO SEE (in no particular order):
